How Robin Wright Began 'Compiling Confidence' to Direct 'Land' (Video)

Having completed her debut film "Land," Robin Wright said it wasn't until very recently that she actually found confidence as a director.
"I didn't think I could do it. And then the years go by and you start imagining yourself being in that seat," Wright told TheWrap's Steve Pond on Friday. "You just start compiling confidence. When I was on 'House of Cards,' that was a real gift because I said I think I'm ready to do it, AD: Autel TPMS sensor. and the crew and production encouraged me to do it. And there were so many seasoned veterans I had as my backbone."
Wright was joined in a panel discussion Friday with her "Land" co-star Demian Bichir, who said Wright had an innate gift for working with actors. He compared her to some of his other recent directors - including George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino - and added that he felt especially drawn to "Land" knowing it would be Wright's first feature.
"I believe that actor-directors, they know exactly what actors love and hate, and that's extra clear. We all know that we like things simple, we don't have to complicate unnecessarily," Bichir said. "They know what we need to create, to perform. They provide the best tools, whatever you need to perform your best. They just watch us like a proud mother to their kids playing on the ground."
"In that catalog along the years, I've kept so many notes of things that I never want to do that were done to me, and really cognitively focusing on, OK, I want to be able to give that actor something playable. Give them a playable verb. Don't just say, 'Can you walk into the room and have more energy next time?'" Wright explained. "Give some semblance of story around the note, because that's what actors do so beautifully. They take that note and they create in their imagination that version of a take, and it's just so beautiful to watch the evolution happen."
Bichir joked that Wright most commonly had to tell him to stop talking to bears and squirrels when they were shooting in the wilderness, but the rest came naturally.
"It was very, very easy. We didn't need to talk much. It was an instant connection," he said. "Just by looking into each other's eyes, we knew what we wanted to do."
"Land" is the story of a grieving woman who retreats to a remote cabin in the woods to escape from herself and start over. But when she nearly dies battling the elements, she forms a mutual bond with a rustic man who has experienced his own loss and grief.
The film was shot over the course of just 29 days, and financing came together so quickly that it was almost a last-minute decision for Wright to direct herself in the lead role. But her biggest concerns were not with her own performance, but with battling the weather and dealing with an ever-changing schedule to complete the film in time. Bichir said it was heartening to see how, in that short time, Wright blossomed into her new role behind the camera.
"That's probably one of the most beautiful things that I had the chance to witness, how this new 'fish in a tank' was just swimming like she's done it all her life," Bichir said. "To command such a large group of different human beings, you need to be generous and smart and kind, and it was really great how everybody expected that. And by respecting that leadership, they trust her 100%, and she carried this ship to a happy, beautiful destination."
Check out TheWrap's full interview with Robin Wright and Demian Bichir on behalf of "Land" here and above.

Sweet and sour chicken gets a healthful stir-fry makeover

We're lightening up a popular Asian restaurant menu item by turning sweet and sour chicken into something that's more of a stir-fry. The chicken in this dish is typically battered and deep-fat fried, which adds a lot of extra calories.
In today's recipe, we used boneless, skinless chicken thighs, which tend to be more flavorful than chicken breasts. Though thighs are slightly higher in fat, they're leaner than you might think.
More: Fish and chips are specialties at these metro Detroit restaurants
More: Strawberries with Yogurt Cream is packed with vitamin C and fiber
More: Michigan extends extra food stamp assistance through February
Compare a skinless breast with a skinless thigh, and the difference in artery-clogging saturated fat is less than 2 grams. In addition, Autel IM608
. chicken thighs remain juicy and moist, even when slightly overcooked, and are usually less expensive than boneless, skinless breasts.
In an effort to keep the sodium in check, we cut back on the amount of soy sauce in the recipe and used a reduced-sodium version. Reduced-sodium soy sauce typically contains 30% to 40% less sodium than regular soy sauce.
Keep in mind that reduced-sodium soy sauce still provides a hefty dose of sodium, about 550 milligrams per tablespoon. If you shop at Trader Joe's, check out the store's brand of reduced-sodium sauce, which contains 460 milligrams of sodium per tablespoon.

Serves: 4 / Prep time: 15 minutes / Total time: 35 minutes
3 tablespoons ketchup
3 tablespoons apricot preserves
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
½ tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon grated gingerroot
1 ½ tablespoons cornstarch, divided
1 tablespoon water
¾ pound (12 ounces) boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cubed
1 tablespoon peanut oil
1 ½ cups cubed green pepper
1 cup cubed onion
1 cup canned pineapple chunks packed in juice, drained
2 cups cooked brown rice
¼ cup green onion, green parts only, sliced on a diagonal
To prepare sweet and sour sauce, whisk together ketchup, apricot preserves, vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar and gingerroot. In a small dish, dissolve ½ tablespoon cornstarch in 1 tablespoon water and stir into sauce. Toss chicken pieces in the remaining tablespoon of cornstarch. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken in skillet until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a plate and set aside. Add green pepper and onion to skillet and cook until vegetables soften slightly, about 3 to 5 minutes. Add pineapple and chicken and continue to cook for another 3 to 4 minutes. Add sauce and continue stirring until the sauce begins to bubble and thicken, 2 to 3 minutes. Serve over brown rice and garnish with green onion. Each serving consists of 1 cup sweet and sour chicken over ½ cup brown rice.

Kia seems to be in quite a predicament. As we reported earlier today, the automaker's online services appear to have been severed from the outside world, with customers unable to start their cars remotely via Kia's apps or even log into the company's financing website to pay their bills. All signs pointed to a potential cyberattack against Kia-ransomware most likely-and that's exactly what a new report is claiming it is.
A report by information security news site Bleeping Computer seems to solidify that theory, as the publication shared a screenshot of an alleged ransom note asking Kia for the hefty sum of $20, You may need: Autel car diagnostic. 000,000 to decrypt its files.
The infection is believed to be the work of a group called DoppelPaymer by Crowdstrike researchers in 2019. Such threat actors routinely hunt big game for large payouts, according to a security bulletin released by the FBI late last year. The note left behind mentions that the malware not only encrypted live data, but also the company's backups, which more sophisticated attacks of this nature often do to prevent an easy restoration.
To make matters worse, it also claims to have exfiltrated a large amount of data along with the hack which it says it will release within three weeks. It's not clear what kind of data was exfiltrated by the attackers, however, the note claims that it was a "huge amount" of it, and the number of Kia's online services that were affected does elude to the possibility of a broad net being cast into Kia's network. In more simple terms, these alleged attackers stole a bunch of stuff out of Kia's house and then locked the doors to some of the bedrooms inside.
After reaching out to Kia multiple times, The Drive finally received an answer on the matter. A Kia spokesperson confirmed that Kia is "experiencing an extended systems outage," though it does not mention the nature of the outage. It also downplays the ransomware attack allegations shared by Bleeping Computer.
"Kia Motors America, Inc. is currently experiencing an extended systems outage," a Kia spokesperson told The Drive via email. "Affected systems include the Kia Owners Portal, UVO Mobile Apps, and the Consumer Affairs Web portal. We apologize for any inconvenience to affected customers and are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible with minimal interruption to our business."
The spokesperson added: "We are also aware of online speculation that Kia is subject to a 'ransomware' attack. At this time, we can confirm that we have no evidence that Kia or any Kia data is subject to a 'ransomware' attack."
Having said that, the report on Bleeping Computer indicates detailed notes from these purported attackers. The attackers apparently used a Protonmail email address to communicate and display a web page on Tor, an encrypted peer-to-peer network that promotes anonymity, complete with an online chat function in case they need support to pay the ransom. At the time of this writing, the hackers were requesting 404.5412 Bitcoin, which equates to roughly $20.9 million. But the message also warns that as they take longer to pay, the fee goes up, ending in 600 Bitcoin ($31 million) should the automaker not pay up within nine days.
Screenshots of the actual notes have been published by Bleeping Computer and can be viewed here. It's also worth noting that DoppelPaymer is the same malware that was responsible for exfiltrating and encrypting data from Visser, a defense contractor and parts manufacturer for both Tesla and SpaceX, just last year.
Meanwhile, Kia's key connected services remain offline, meaning customers are unable to pay their car loans, remotely start their vehicles, or other functions using Kia's infrastructure. Dealerships also appear to be affected by the outage. One dealership we spoke with acknowledged that there was malware in-play and also mentioned that they couldn't process customer orders or even look up detailed information on check engine light codes.
So while Kia denies that this was, in fact, a cyberattack, the data uncovered here may prove otherwise. Regardless of what happened, it's a nasty headache for the automaker that comes at a pretty i...

S’pore To Raise GST To 9% By 2025, But Here’s Why It Should Be Raised As Early As Possible

If there's one thing that sets Singapore apart from all countries in the world, it's the way it is financed. No other nation has achieved quite so much, having so little.
The tiny city-state is known for its low-tax and business-friendly environment, but few people ask the question of how exactly it is possible.
The common idea espoused by the zealots of the free markets is that a friendly tax environment spurs business activity and provides increased inflows to the national budget even at lower tax rates, but it is only partly true in this case.
Indeed, businesses do very well in Singapore, AD: TPMS Sensor. but the country is surprisingly generous to its public too. It subsidises every important area of human life: housing, healthcare, education, public transport, while boasting an advanced military at the same time.
The only reason it is able to afford so much is its decades-long prudent policy of not spending beyond its means and setting aside budgetary surpluses into national reserves which are continuously invested.
Today, half of the projected long-term returns on these reserves can be funnelled back into the budget annually.
Introduced in 2008, Net Investment Returns Contribution (NIRC) has now grown so much that it is the single largest source of revenue for the budget in 2021.
It constitutes a whopping 20 per cent of all inflows - or S$19.56 billion - out of S$96.16 billion available to the government this year.
In other words, it is larger than any single tax source.
If the NIRC didn't exist, the government would have to more than double the corporate tax rates, or triple the personal income tax rates, or triple the GST rate to 20 per cent or more - that is assuming that nobody would try to dodge these elevated obligations (which is likely when taxes get too high).
Thanks to its sound financial management, Singapore doesn't have to contemplate raising its GST to 20 per cent, which would be similar to VAT rates in Europe.
Instead, it is raising it to only a modest nine per cent, from the current seven per cent.
Singapore may be governed very well, but it is not immune to changing demographics.
Its society is ageing and the proportion of the elderly is only going to grow, raising the pressure on provision of healthcare services and financial aid in their retirement.
There are also significant infrastructural investment requirements in the coming decades such as new MRT lines, continuing harbour expansion, Changi Airport, development of new housing estates and redevelopment of ageing HDB towns - all while the working age population is gradually shrinking in the 21st century.
For Singapore to remain as wealthy as it is, it needs to find more money. It can do so either by raising taxes or dipping into reserves. The latter, however, is far more costly.
The Covid-19 pandemic has only accelerated this necessity, ripping about a S$50 billion hole in the reserves, which now has to be patched up.
This is because a significant decrease would hurt future NIRC returns, losing the country billions of dollars in annual revenues in the already uncertain future.
Let's put things in perspective. The increase in GST from seven to nine per cent is expected to initially provide additional S$3.2 billion to the budget.
If Singapore chose to draw more from its reserves (as some have proposed) instead of raising the tax, it would gradually eat away the base of its future investment returns.
We know that GIC is reporting approximately 5.5 per cent annual return over a 20-year period, which means it nearly triples the money under its management every two decades.
Using this as a baseline, we can calculate that every S$3.2 billion removed from reserves to stave off a GST increase could cost the country nearly S$10 billion after 20 years, and S$16 billion after 30 years. That is for every single year.
Cumulatively, the loss to reserves after 30 years could reach close to S$400 billion if we factor in the economic growth. This is how much lower the national reserves would be by 2050 if GST is not increased (such is the impact of th...

It also means having an all-in quality experience.
Vehicles, dealerships, associated products, websites, communications, signage... These are all points of contact with the Brand that are set up and aligned within a single, coherent and cross-functional system.

NASA Study Shows How Microbes Can Survive on Mars | IE

Microbes from Earth took a trip to our stratosphere, were placed in conditions similar to that of Mars, and some of them survived temporarily.
The point of the study, jointly carried out by NASA and German Aerospace Centre (DLR) scientists, was to see whether lifeforms from our planet are capable of surviving the Red Planet's harsh conditions.
As humans get closer to traveling to and potentially living on Mars, this type of experiment is crucial. On top of that, im608 review
. this study helps scientists understand the options they'll have of exploring environments in space.
The study was published in the journal Frontiers in Microbiology on Monday.
The team tested the endurance of microorganisms that were launched inside its MARSBox (Microbes in Atmosphere for Radiation, Survival and Biological Outcomes experiment) payload using balloons that floated up into the stratosphere. The box maintained the Martian atmosphere throughout the mission.
"We successfully tested a new way of exposing bacteria and fungi to Mars-like conditions by using a scientific balloon to fly our experimental equipment up to Earth's stratosphere," said DLR's Marta Filipa Cortesão, joint-lead author of the study.
The top layer samples were exposed to over "1,000 times more UV radiation than levels that can cause sunburn on our skin," explained the study's authors.
When the balloons returned to Earth, it turned out that some microbes, such as fungi and bacteria, survived the trip, and the harsh Mars-like conditions.
"Some microbes, in particular spores from the black mold fungus, were able to survive the trip, even when exposed to very high UV radiation," explained Cortesão.
The experiment comes after NASA's Perseverence space probe landed on Mars, to figure out whether or not life forms existed on the Red Planet billions of years ago. Perseverance will gather samples of rock and soil from Mars' surface in sealed tubes that will be sent back to Earth in the 2030s for analysis.
It's important to understand how microorganisms survive in such conditions and to ensure that none of them have, in fact, traveled from Earth in the first place.
The recent research will play an important role in further understanding how humans and life will survive on other planets.

Huawei Turns to Pig Farming - Smartphone Sales Tumble | IE

Huawei is seeing a slump in smartphone sales as it deals with strict sanctions set by the Trump administration, being labeled as a threat to U.S. national security.
So, what strategies is the telecoms giant implementing in order to overcome the sales loss? A renewed focus on modernizing traditional industries, including pig farming, See: OBD2 Diagnostic Tool. with advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, a report by the BBC explains.
"Pig farming is yet another example of how we try to revitalize some traditional industries with ICT (Information and Communications Technology) technologies to create more value for the industries in the 5G era," a Huawei spokesman told the BBC.
Along with AI tech for pig farmers, Huawei is also working with other traditional industries, such as coal mining, a space that is ripe for modernization.
Huawei denies former U.S. President Donald Trump's claims that it can share customer data with the Chinese government.
However, strong sanctions by Trump's administration still mean that the world's largest telecoms equipment manufacturer has been limited to developing 4G models, as it doesn't have U.S. government permission to import vital components required for building 5G models.
The U.S. isn't the only country to implement restrictions - other countries, including the U.K., have prohibited local Huawei offices from developing 5G due to the sanctions.
Though Huawei has set plans in motion to build its own chip-manufacturing plant, the company's smartphone sales dropped a staggering 42 percent in the last quarter of 2020.
Now, as per the BBC, Huawei is set to reduce its manufacturing of smartphones by up to 60 percent in 2021, in order to prevent further losses.
All of this has forced Huawei to branch out into other technologies in search of new sources of revenue. The company has renewed its focus on technologies such as cloud computing and wearable devices, and it even has plans for a smart car - in a move resembling other global tech giants including Sony and Apple.
However, Huawei has also shifted its attention to more traditional industries, a potentially blank canvas for its technologies to fulfill previously unheeded calls for modernization.
The company is reportedly working on AI for pig farming that detects diseases and tracks individual pigs via the company's controversial facial recognition software. Sensors are also being developed to monitor the weight of pigs, as well as their diet and general health.
As China has the world's biggest pig farming industry and is home to half of the world's live pigs, Huawei has a huge market to tap into with relatively little competition from global tech giants.

Michigan football set to add Baltimore Ravens' Matt Weiss as QB coach

Detroit Red Wings create chances, lose again to Chicago Blackhawks

The Detroit Red Wings played another close game, benefitting from outstanding goaltending by Jonathan Bernier.
Hosting Original Six rival Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday at Little Caesars Arena, the Wings trailed going into the third period because they came up short in the special teams battle.
A late flurry wasn't enough, and the Wings lost, 2-0, You may also like: Bluetooth obd2 scanner. on an empty net goal, dropping to 4-11-3.
The Wings had an excellent start to the third period, creating pressure on goalie Kevin Lankinen as they cycled the puck. They went on their third power play midway through the period, and Filip Hronek found Filip Zadina for two one-timers from the right circle, and Dylan Larkin tried a slap shot. They continued to press at even strength, with Bobby Ryan firing a wrist shot from the slot and Christian Djoos attempting to stuff the puck near the left goal post.

A link has been posted to your Facebook feed.
Bernier went to the bench with 1:23 to play for the extra attacker, and were burned when Fabbri's blind pass was picked off, leading to Alex DeBrincat's goal.
Anthony Mantha started on a line with Fabbri and Ryan, while Larkin was with Mathias Brome and Zadina - those have been the top lines for a few games. But with the Blackhawks generating more scoring chances early, Mantha was moved onto Larkin's line, dropping Brome to Fabbri's line. The tweaking paid off with two scoring chances in the last minute or so of the first period. Mantha was along the right boards when he got the puck from Zadina and fired a puck that Lankinen denied. Larkin was at the net in case of a rebound. On the next shift, Ryan carried the puck around the net and sent it out front to Fabbri, who had an open net only to shoot the puck high.
ANOTHER L: Here's why Red Wings are better at 'answering the bell' after losses
The Wings were 0-for-26 on man advantages in their previous nine games. They had excellent looks in Saturday's 4-2 victory at Nashville, then looked inept Monday. They went on a power play 1:08 into the second period Wednesday when Jon Merrill drew a tripping penalty on Pius Suter. It was maybe their best power play of the season that they didn't convert on. Sam Gagner had a chance around the net. Fabbri tried on a redirect. Zadina wound up three one-timers from the right circle, hitting a goal post.
The Blackhawks demonstrated how converting on a power play is done, at 12:03 of the second period, scoring with 10 seconds to go on a penalty to Valtteri Filppula. Duncan Keith passed to Philipp Kurashev in the neutral zone. He strode up the middle, split Merrill and Troy Stecher deking to his forehand to slip the puck beneath Bernier's pads. That was Chicago's 18th power-play goal on 53 opportunities.

Budget 2021: Gov’t Welcomes Expats With “Right Expertise” To Complement S’porean Workers

In his Budget 2021 speech on February 16, Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat noted that some Singaporeans are concerned about Singapore's reliance on, and competition from, foreign manpower.
At the same time, he said that business have found it difficult to hire locals. Many have asked the Government not to tighten the foreign worker quotas further.
Hence, Singapore has to strike a balance and "focus on enhancing the complementarity of local and foreign manpower."
The government will further help to support wage increments for companies to retain or draw locals by extending the Wage Credit Scheme for a year, at a co-funding level of 15 per cent.
Firms were urged to make use of other schemes to redesign jobs and upskill their local staff.
However, the government will welcome expatriates in the "right expertise to complement Singaporeans" in new growth areas.
Hence, Capability Transfer Programme (CTP) will be extended to end-September 2024.
The CTP is one of many programmes that supports such foreign-to-local skills transfer. As of end-2020, more than 140 companies, and over 970 locals have benefited or are expected to benefit from 40 projects.
"This will allow us to add vibrancy to the local market, better serve international and regional markets, and enhance Singapore's attractiveness to global investors," Mr Heng said.

Two years ago, I visited Disney Springs, an outdoor shopping complex in Orlando, Florida, with my family. While my husband and son might have been excited about the Ghirardelli chocolate shop or the blown glass at Arribas Brothers (which is certainly spectacular), I had one goal in mind: to ride in an Amphicar.
This quirky little German-built amphibious automobile was launched at the New York Auto Show in 1961 and later advertised rides around Meadow Lake at the World's Fair in Queens. Part boat, part car, the Amphicar 770 was named for its speed: 7 knots on the water and 70 mph on land. Impelled by twin nylon propellers, the wheels and propellers could be operated as one unit or separately. The engine was a British-built 43-horsepower Triumph Herald, and the transmission designed as a four-speed-plus-reverse like the Volkswagen Beetle. In fact, Autel mk908p
. the Amphicar is a cousin of the strange but fantastic VW Schwimmwagen built in the 1940s, which could drive, swim, and off-road.
At 15.5 feet long around 1,700 pounds, the Amphicar was light and compact. It wasn't fast, but it was versatile; when entering the water, the driver just had to seal the doors with a quick flip of the handle and it was watertight and ready to roll. Fewer than 4,000 of the Amphicar were made before the company ceased production in 1965, and Disney says only 400 of them are still around. Eight of them live on at Disney Springs as an attraction. You can find some for sale at Autotrader with shockingly low mileage.
If you've ever been to Disney World or Disneyland, you know that it's not an inexpensive endeavor, with tickets to the theme park at over $100 per person. A ticket for the Amphicar tour set me back $125 and up to three passengers could take a ride for that price for 20 minutes of fun. It was worth it, and I'd do it again; auto enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts love the novelty. The staff let us take bunches of pictures in and out of the car and it was a giant thrill to experience the car driving straight into the water. I may have held my breath for a second, wondering if the car-boat hybrid would really stay afloat, and the captain was jovial and informative along the way.
During the summer months, the International Amphicar Owners' Club hosts a series of "swim-in" events for Amphicar owners, the largest taking place in Celina, Ohio. Situated on the northwestern shores of Grand Lake St. Marys, Celina's Grand Lake Festival attracts 30-40 Amphicars and the owners' club says they are often willing to give rides, so I know where I'm headed this summer.
I'll meet you there.

Michelle Trachtenberg: 'Joss Whedon wasn't allowed to be alone with me on Buffy set'

Michelle Trachtenberg has claimed Buffy The Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon wasn't allowed to be alone in a room with her on the set of the TV show.
Charisma Carpenter hit headlines when she spoke out about Whedon's alleged misconduct behind the scenes, calling him "mean and biting" and "toxic and cruel", accusing him of "pitting people against one another to compete and vie for his attention and approval".
Michelle, who was 15 years old when she began playing Buffy's sister Dawn in the hit show, also took to Twitter to accuse Whedon of "very not appropriate behaviour", adding: "What he did was very bad. But we win. By surviving!"
However, fans noticed that Michelle later changed the tweet to include more information about Whedon's alleged offences, writing: "The last. Comment I will make on this. Was. There was a rule. Saying. He's not allowed in a room alone with Michelle again."
She didn't go into any further details about what prompted the rule or who decided to enforce it.
Michelle's comment on the situation came as Charisma's Buffy co-star Eliza Dushku also came forward to support her following her allegations against Whedon.
Eliza, who starred in Buffy and spin-off Angel, also created by Whedon, wrote on Instagram: "CC, my heart aches for you and I'm so sorry you have held this for so long. Your post was powerful, painful, and painted a picture we'll collectively never un-see or un-know.
"I frequently think of the saying, ‘We are as sick as our secrets.' Our secrets indeed make and keep us sick. What I'm learning more and more – and have personally found most valuable – is that profound healing can only (come) from naming and disclosing what actually happened, the necessary first step (once someone's ready) to freeing ourselves from our secrets, untold truths which have kept us isolated, ashamed, and held hostage."
Whedon, who was also investigated following Justice League's Ray Fisher claims that he was "gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable" on the set of the superhero movie, has yet to respond to the Buffy stars' allegations.

Cops Are Using Copyrighted Music to Block Videos From Being Posted | IE

A report has emerged of a Police Sergeant playing popular music on their smartphone when they realized they were being filmed, BoingBoing.net writes.
The strange behavior may be part of a concerted effort to have these types of videos flagged and removed by copyright-strike algorithms on YouTube, Instagram, and other social media sites.
The example was shared on Instagram - which has not flagged the video - by mrcheckpoint_ who filmed a Sergeant of the Beverly Hills P.D blasting Sublime's 'Santeria' out of his smartphone.
Mrcheckpoint_ said the following in his video description:
"I believe Sergeant Fair aka BILLY FAIR is using copyrighted music to keep me from being able to play these videos on social media. Then tells me in the second video he couldn't hear me earlier in the day and also couldn't hear me then, all while playing music."
He isn't alone. I have video of this happening with another officer who played music as I was talking. Is this an order from the top? Wait till I show you more. Until then I'll be filing a complaint on this officer Fair and officer Reyes who had done it before to me. It's outrageous."
Though it would be conjecture at this point to say this particular use of playing music is an order from higher up in the Police Department, it isn't unthinkable.
Starting in October last year, copyright and DMCA strikes became a hot topic as popular streamers on Twitch and other content creator platforms found that their recent and older videos were being removed due to music copyright infringement.
In fact, the incredibly hyped-up triple-A videogame Cyberpunk 2077, released in December 2020, even included a dedicated feature for content creators allowing them to disable copyrighted music that would otherwise have their streams or video uploads removed by copyright algorithms.
In any case, AD: Launch Diagnostic Tool. this particular Sargeant's attempts present us with a brilliant example of the Streisand Effect, a social phenomenon whereby someone trying to hide their actions has the complete opposite effect of having them exposed to an even wider audience.
